A Little Lie

Two figures snuggled closely together in a bed that was located in the 
darken basement of Furinkan High.

"How much longer are we going to continue this charade?"

"When I'm ready to let everyone know."

"Care to tell me how long must I wait?"

"Nope."

Sigh. "You do know I detest throwing myself at Ranma's girl form. Why 
must I continue to 'believe' that she is trapped by the 'vile 
sorcerer's magic?'"

"Because if you suddenly wise up to that, it might blow our little 
game."

"Why must we hide in the first place?"

"I can think of several reasons. One of them being, I don't want to 
get married yet. If daddy knew about this, we'd be in front of a 
minister faster than you could blink."

"Would marrying me be so bad?"

"Um... not really, but... it would screw over my family if we get 
married soon."

"How would that happen?"

"Because of daddy's agreement with the Saotomes. Until that matter is 
resolved, it wouldn't be right for us to get married."

"Why don't you help resolve it?"

"That matter is resolving itself. It'll take time, and trying to rush 
it will only cause more problems latter."

Sigh. "I'm getting tired of this game. Everyone thinks of me as a 
fool."

"Now Ta-chan, we are all fools. The wises of us know this."

"I use to command respect, now I am ridiculed."

"So is the 'vile Saotome.'"

"Neither of truly deserve it though."

"Stop worrying about what other's think. Ranma never does."

"But Ranma is from a lowly house. I am from the house of Kuno, I 
should command respect."

"You should eat more humble pie. You need to realize no one is truly 
better than another. Just because you're from a noble house doesn't 
make you better than a burikurman. Everyone has faults and strengths 
and given to make mistakes equally."

"I know I shouldn't prejudge, but that was how I was raised."

"At least you are learning."

"I wish I didn't have to allow myself to get 'knocked out' by Saotome, 
just so we can spend time together."

"It'll change when certain people finally grow up."

Sigh. "We'd better get to class. Got the nurse's excuse?"

"Of course. We should thank your father for having the bed down here."

"Hmph. I would not thank him for this. The bed is only here for he 
does not desire to see his own children. He probably knows we used it, 
I wonder if he will use this to blackmail us."

"Someone blackmail me? That could be a fatal mistake."

"I must remember not to try that then."

"Oh, you might be able to get away with it."

"Time to rejoin the rest of the world, my love."

"Enough of that."

They walked out into the hall of Furinkan High and approached their 
classroom. 

Kuno turned to Nabiki, "You charge too much for bringing my noble 
personage to the nurse's station."

"Dragging your ass there wasn't easy, and I've missed some of my 
class. I'd say I'm being lenient in charging you."

"I loath you."

Nabiki scowled at Kuno. "I'm so glad."
