Title: Declaration Of Love Part 5 Name: Sailor SwiftHeart Email: SwiftHeart@v-wave.com Rating: H ****************************************************** DECLARATION OF LOVE Part Five Prince William stood in front of the mirror inside his hotel room at Crystal Tokyo's local "Comfort Inn", and ran a brush through his sandy blond hair, several times. No matter which way he brushed it, or how many times he did, it still didn't look right to him. "For the last time, there is NOTHING wrong with your hair!" Prince Harry told his brother for what must've been the one hundredth time that evening, "I have never seen someone so... obsessed with their hair!" "I'm not obsessed," Prince William told him, "I just want to look extra-good tonight, that's all." "And why is that?" Prince Charles asked, with an amused grin. Prince William sighed and smiled. He had been looking forward to this night for several days. Crystal Tokyo was holding a special party and dance, in honor of the Royal Family. Everyone would be there. And "everyone", to Prince William, meant Serena included. "Why not?" he replied, with a shrug. His father and younger brother gave him a look of skepticism. "What?" Prince William asked. "It's that girl, isn't it?" Prince Harry guessed, smirking, "That girl at the temple... the one with the long blond ponytails." Prince William pretended to look confused. "I don't know what you're talking about." he lied, nervously. "Wills, I saw how you looked at her, so you're not fooling anyone." Prince Harry declared, still smirking. Even though Harry was 14, William still found it hard to believe that he noticed things like that. Because Harry was still his "little brother". "All right, I admit it," Prince William said, with a sigh, "It is her... and her name is Serena." "Beautiful name," remarked his father, "But try not to get too attatched, William," he warned, "We aren't going to be in Crystal Tokyo forever." Prince William knew that his father was right, but ignored his warning anyway. He didn't want to think about the day they'd be heading back to England until the last possible moment. As he continued to get ready, finally satisfied with his hair, William thought about Serena. He wondered what she was like. What kind of a personality she had, what she liked to do, what her hobbies were and little things like that. He had seen her several times in town with her friends and he had wanted to approach her and talk to her, but no sooner had he thought that, when a group of female admirers surrounded him and blocked his path. By the time they were finished admiring young Prince William and asking him heaps of unimportant questions, Serena had disappeared out of sight. Prince William was not going to let that happen tonight. He was going to talk to her, spend a little time with her... maybe even ask her to dance. "If she doesn't already have a boyfriend...." he thought, worried. He hadn't overlooked the fact that Serena could quite possibly have a boyfriend. He wouldn't be surprised if she did, since she was so beautiful. "Well, are you boys ready?" Prince Charles inquired, "We should be getting to the party." "I'm ready," said Prince Harry, "But I don't think Wills is, Father." Prince Charles sighed in annoyance. "William, come along," he told his son, "If we don't leave now, we'll never get there." Prince William still wasn't satisfied with the way he looked, but he followed his father and younger brother out the door, wondering what the night held for him. * * * Serena was completely humilated, arriving at the dance with her parents and younger brother. None of her other friends came with THEIR parents. They all had dates. Serena spotted each one, too. First she saw Rei and Chad. They looked happy enough, helping themselves to punch and cookies at the refreshment table. Then she noticed that Lita had come to the dance with her best friend, Ken. Lita had always insisted that her and Ken were nothing more than friends, but did that really matter now? "At least she's with a GUY." Serena thought. Mina had brought her cute cousin and they were out on the floor dancing. Molly was with Melvin, looking like she was having a great time. Even Serena's teacher, Miss Haruna had a date! Serena felt so depressed and so alone. Ami was the one who was always dateless. But not this time. She was out on the dance floor, wearing a blue, off-the-shoulder, figure hugging dress, with the man who was SUPPOSE to be Serena's date. The man who SHOULD'VE been Serena's date. Serena sat down on the bench, all alone, realizing that her parents had wasted their money, buying her the new pink party dress she was wearing. They had also insisted that she go to the party. Tired of fighting and arguing with anyone about anything, she agreed. But now she wished that she had put up a fight or at least locked herself in her bedroom. Serena looked around, until her gaze fell upon Ami and Darien. They looked so happy, wrapped up together in a warm embrace, dancing slowly, even though the song was fast-paced. Serena's eyes filled with tears, as she recalled her last dance on the Moon, with Darien. "May I have this dance, Princess?" Darien had asked, looking handsome in his cape and mask, "Could be our last one." Serena suddenly realized that her dance on the Moon with Darien really WAS their last one. Tears of pain trickled down her pink cheeks and dripped onto her dress, leaving tiny wet spots on the silky pink fabric. At this point, she didn't care if she spent the entire night, sitting on the bench and crying, as memories of her and Darien raced through her mind. Prince William wasn't exactly the Happy Camper of the party. He was, however, the most popular young man at the party. Girls were following him around, drooling over him, staring at him... much to the young Prince's dismay. At this rate, he would NEVER get a chance to look for Serena, much less talk to her. And he seemed to be making enemies with a lot of the young men there, whose dates were more interested in the Prince, than in them. Prince William HAD to think of a way to sneak away, or at least get these persitant young girls off of his back. He looked around. His father was engaged in a conversation with a few of the adults at the party. Prince Harry was at the refreshment table, with a few admirers of a younger generation. The dance floor was crowded. There was no way Prince William could find Serena in such a large amount of guests. He sighed in disappointment, and decided that he might as well pay attention to the girls who surounded him and looked at him with wide eyes. About two hours later, Prince William was almost certain that he had spoken to every girl there who took an interest in him. Serena, unfortunately, hadn't been among any of them. Tired and annoyed, he headed for the benches. He just wanted to sit there, relax, and think about Serena. He suddenly stopped, standing a few feet away from someone... a girl. A girl dressed in a pink party dress, with long blonde ponytails. "Serena!" Prince William exclaimed, happily, but at the same time wondered why she, of all people, was sitting on the bench. At the sound of her name, Serena looked up to see a pair of handsome blue eyes staring at her. The eyes, she soon realized, belonged to Prince William. "Hi." Serena managed to say through sobs. Prince William's expression turned from happiness to concern, when he realized that Serena was crying. He sat down next to her, and handed her the hankerchief that had been folded neatly and placed in the front pocket of his tuxedo. Serena accepted it, and wiped away her tears. "Are... are you okay?" Prince William asked, then realized the stupidity of his question. "I mean... what's wrong?" he corrected. Serena only shrugged. She wasn't about to whine at Prince William about how a close friend of hers stole her boyfriend. "I just.... I would rather be at home." Serena told him. Prince William looked at Serena, puzzled. He thought back to the day he had met her on the street and had shook her hand. He remembered how sad she looked. It suddenly dawned on him. "That is the same look I had... the exact same look... when my mother died...." he thought. All the pictures from the funeral and weeks afterwards, that was the exact look he had on his face. The look of a person who had lost someone so important, so dear to their life... someone they loved so deeply, that they couldn't explain it. "I understand." he declared, in a whisper. Serena looked at him, in surprise. She saw, in his face, that he really DID understand. How, she didn't know. Prince William smiled at Serena, a little timidly. Serena smiled back. He rose to his feet and held out his hand, as a slow song started to play and the lights dimmed. "Would you like to dance?" he asked. Serena placed her hand in his and he led her to the center of the dance floor. Several couples cleared out of their way, and then a few more, until it was only Serena and Prince William on the dance floor, with a circle of onlooking couples surrounding them. Serena had never felt happier than she did at this moment, as she glided across the floor with her companion. She was getting many looks of envy and jealousy, but she hardly noticed. This dance was even better than her final dance with Darien on the Moon. For the first time in her life, Serena didn't care at all about Darien. Prince William looked at her with new, with different eyes. Eyes filled with mixed emotions. It was as if they were the only two people left in the whole world. "Serena is so lucky!" Mina said to her cousin, "Getting a dance with that hunkster, Prince William!" "I'll say," Lita said, as she stood next to Mina, with her date, Ken, "Most girls would give their left arm to snag a dance with him." Ami and Darien were the most surprised out of anyone. As Darien watched Serena with Prince William, he began to recall his last dance on the Moon with Serena. He admitted that he was jealous, even though he was certain he had no romantic feelings for Serena. "Let's go and get some air." Darien suggested, and he and Ami headed outside for a moment. "It seems Prince William has taken an interest in Serena." Ami said, with a smile. Darien scowled. "Yea, for now." he declared. Ami looked at Darien, puzzled. "What's going to happen when he goes back to England?" Darien demanded, "As if Serena hasn't been heartbroken enough these past few days!" Ami was surprised at Darien's words. But, she said nothing. She had a feeling that Darien still loved Serena, despite what he told everyone. She realized that her time with Darien was most likely going to end... very soon. "Would you take me home, Darien?" she asked, sadly. "Now?" he inquired, shocked, "But it's so early!" "I'm tired, and besides, I have reading to catch up on." Ami lied. "No you don't," Darien told her, "We finshed all your reading the other night. And 5 chapters ahead, too!" Ami was exasperated. "Look, I just want to go home, okay?" she snapped, "Please. I don't need to be put on trial!" They were both silent for a long time, before Darien got up and headed for his car, Ami following close behind. They drove home in silence, neither of them feeling the need to utter one word. Once they arrived at Ami's house, Darien walked Ami to the front door. She unlocked the door, stepped inside and turned to look at Darien. "Thank you." she said simply and was about to close the door, but Darien held onto it. "That's it?" he inquired, a little hurt, "Just 'thank you'? You're not even going to invte me in?" Ami said nothing. What was the point if he still loved Serena? "Good night, Darien." Ami declared, "And good-bye." Darien still didn't let go of the door. "What do you mean, 'good-bye'?" he asked, shocked, "Ami, what's the matter? What did I do?" Ami sighed and looked at him. "I know you still love Serena." she answered, "I mean, think about what you said at the party tonight. You're still in love with her. I'm just.... just... a fling, really." Darien couldn't believe what he was hearing. He knew in his heart that he loved Ami. He was just concerned about Serena. There was a difference. "Ami-Chan, listen," Darien said firmly, stepping inside, "I love you. YOU, Ami. ONLY you. There is no one else. And I'll prove it to you right now." The door closed behind him. He looked straight into Ami's eyes. Something flared within his midnight blue eyes... something deep and smoky and powerful. "Ami...." he whispered. As lines furrowed between his brows and a question formed on his lips, she laid her finger prohibitively against them. "Shh... no more talk. Let's just do it." His gaze underwent a subtle change- a kind of wonder replaced the questions. His strong, warm arms came up around her and he kissed the fingertip she'd laid against his lips... then drew it in with a sucking motion that sent erotic sensations sizzling to every private part of her. She withdrew her finger in weak-kneed surprise. He'd never done anything like that before. Still holding her gaze, he met her in a tentative tasting kiss. Ami closed her eyes and savoured it. He tasted smooth as brandy, potent as rum. Before she had a chance to reflect anymore on this unexpected delight, the kiss moved and flowed to a new intensity. The scents of soap and something stirringly male emanated from his skin and hair with the growing warmth. A need like she'd never known kindled deep inside her. The parries and thrusts of their tongues gradually turned from graceful to demanding. His strong fingers plunged into her hair and held her fast against him as he slanted his mouth this way and that to draw the most from every kiss. He nipped at her bottom lip, drew it into his mouth and slowly released it. She thought she'd swoon from the pleasure. Hoarsely he whispered, "I do love you, Ami!" His hands swept down her back and bracketed her hips to his. He kissed her again and again. Without any conscious thought at all, she moved with him- and against him- in an erotic rhythm that slowly dissolved all coherent thought. The soft blue satin of her dress had to go. She wanted his skin against hers. Her fingers worked fiercely at the back zipper, and as it gave way his mouth broke from hers to explore. Every touch of his questing mouth on her skin tightened the coil of hunger inside her. He tugged the dress partway down. She pushed it the rest of the way. Deftly he unhooked her strapless bra and tossed it aside, freeing her breasts. A groan tore from his throat as he captured them in his hands. His tongue edged around one highly sensitive bud... and then flicked lightly across it. She gasped, dug her fingers into his biceps and pressed against him. He suckled her to an aching hardness. Liquid fire pumped through her. He swept her up into his arms, his eyes burning sexual messages into hers as he carried her away from the door, through cool shadows in the corridor, to a bedroom where he laid her down. Without breaking contact, he joined her, mouth to mouth, body to body. She reveled in the taste, the textures of his mouth, his skin, his hair, as she slipped deeper into a world of pure sensation, pure desire. She was movement and heat, friction and rhythm, blinding flashes and velvet darkness. Openmouthed kisses glanced off her neck, her breasts, her abdomen. Heat throbbed everywhere he moved; aching need built everywhere he didn't. He swept his tongue in a lingering path just above her bikini lace. A groan welled up in her throat. She WANTED. Frantically wanted.... Soft, mewling cries escaped her as he dipped within her panties, kissing and licking, working his way down. Driving her into a swelter. And then he touched her, the very core of her, with one warm, moist glide of his tongue. It was more than she could stand. Quicksilver pleasure pitched her right over the edge. With a shuddering cry, she doubled over. Waves of reaction hit her, deep crimson flashed before her eyes and she found herself quaking helplessly, enfolded in his embrace. He tightened his arms around her, and his heartbeat thundered against her ear. She felt the heat in him, like a fever, and the iron-strong tension still coiled in every muscle of his body. When she was better able to speak, she said in a concerned rush, "But you... you haven't...." "Don't worry," he said with a tight, breathless laugh, "I will." He reached down between their bodies and tugged at something wrapped around her knees. Her panties, she realized. "Have to take these off," he whispered, trying his best to do so without releasing his hold on her. With a few smooth moves, she slid the wispy lace down her legs and out of their way. With a slow animal grace, his muscles shifted until his lithe body covered hers, pinning her beneath. She arched provocatively against him, the heat flaring again within her. "Right now, Ami," he breathed in an urgent whisper. "Let's go there now." She wrapped her arms around him and commandeered his mouth in a thorough kiss. His hardness swelled against her inner thighs. The muscles in his back bunched and flexed beneath her palms as he undulated with tightly controlled grace, dominating their motion, his hardness probing against her softness. "Yes, now," she groaned, feverish with renewed wanting. "Love me now, Darien!" He took her, slowly, at first, wanting to memorize every step, every motion, every feeling... filing these away in his brain... things he would use to daydream about later. Slowly he moved, until he sensed that her need was out of control. She clawed at his back, begging him to do more, to move faster. He gladly complied, taking them to new heights, until it all ended in glorious fireworks and explosions. They held eachother for the remainder of the evening. Ami needed no more proof. * * * Meanwhile, the song that Serena and Prince William were dancing to had come to an end. And all too soon for the two of them. They were still being watched, even as they went to the refreshment table for punch and cookies. Serena was in such a good mood, that she couldn't believe she hadn't noticed all the delicious food that had been laid out for the guests. She reminded herself that she was with Prince William and tried hard not to stuff her face. It was funny. She had never so worried about how she appeared when she was with Darien. But this was different, somehow. Prince William was in his glory. He got his wish! He snagged a dance with Serena. And he noticed how her sadness seemed to have melted away. He felt good, knowing he was partially, or in all ways, responsible for that. "What do you say we get some air?" Prince William whispered in Serena's ear. The room was uncomfortably warm and it was the perfect excuse for Prince William to be alone with Serena for a while. He didn't mind that everyone had watched them dance, but now that people had seen them together, they'd be watching him more closely. He hated that, but was too happy to even care. "Sure," Serena replied, "It is kinda hot in here." Prince William took Serena's hand and they quickly left the building and headed for the garden. There was a gazeebo in the center of the garden, the perfect place to sit and look at the stars and moonlight. They sat down, side by side and for the longest time, didn't say a word. Prince William looked at Serena. The moonlight seemed to embrace her. She looked like a Princess. "Princess of the Moon." Prince William thought, aloud. "What was that?" Serena asked, thinking she had heard him wrong. "I was just thinking, looking at you, how the moonlight embraces you," Prince William said, "You could be the Princess of the Moon." Serena swallowed hard. If only he knew how right he was! Serena WAS the Moon Princess! It was uncanny. Like he knew her every secret, just from looking in her eyes. Prince William wanted to dance with her again. But he didn't want to go back to the party, where the crowd would stare at them. He could faintly hear the music playing. "Serena, would you like to dance again?" he asked, in a quiet voice. He held out his hand for her again and she took it. Serena thought he was going to lead her back inside, but was amazed when he pulled her close to him and started dancing right there in the gazeebo. Serena relaxed in his arms and allowed him to guide her. Serena was shocked and in a way, scared of the things she was feeling. What was it about Prince William? It was like they were somehow connected. Like they shared something, but didn't know what. And they both felt that the other filled a certain gap, a certain space, an emptiness that they had carried with them for a long time. Together, they felt complete, which was very scary, because they barely knew each other. But this one moment in time seemed so right. It was then that Prince William took the biggest risk of his life. He stopped dancing and gently pulled Serena closer to him. He gazed deeply into her beautiful blue eyes. They shined like diamonds... something they hadn't done in weeks. Without a second thought, he placed his lips onto Serena's and gave her the most incredible kiss she had ever experienced. She felt the kiss right down to the tips of her toes. A million things ran through Serena's mind... a million memories. All of Darien. Every kiss they shared, every intimate moment... the kiss she was experiencing now left all those far behind. Prince William gently pulled away and smiled at Serena, who was blushing. She still had a look of complete shock on her face. "I'm sorry," Prince William felt the need to apologize, "I didn't think.... I mean, I didn't.." Serena put her hand to her lips. Then, she turned away from Prince William and ran away from the gazeebo, the dance, and the whole party. "Serena, wait!" Prince William called after her, following her and trying to catch up. Serena was running faster than she ever had before. Even faster than she did when she was late for school. It was like she was trying to run away from her own feelings. She ran and ran, her heels clicking on the pavement, unaware that Prince William was following her. "Damn!" Prince William cursed in his very strong English accent. What had he done? *** Well, I finally finished it! Well, Part 5, anyway. Sorry it took so long. I will try to get Part 6 out as soon as I can! Thanks for reading!
