Jeffrey "OneShot" Wong Ah!Megami-sama: A generous heart Skuld gazed out a window at the evening sky. The sun beginning to set, the sky glowing with a brilliant hue of orange. Today was a special day for Skuld, and there was no one home at the temple to celebrate the day with her. Today was exactly one year since she came down from the heavens. She could recall her arrival. She had arrived via a portal in the temple's bathroom, whom happened to have been occupied by Morisato Keiichi at the time. When she had arrived, she had panicked at the site of Keiichi, and had struck him with the mallet she always carried. "He shouldn't had been in there" Skuld muttered under her breath. She never liked him, never will. He had stolen her sister, Belldandy, away from her. If it weren't for that lousy excuse a man, Belldandy would still be up in heaven by her side. She looked at the cup cake sitting in front of her. Since no one was home, she had made it herself. Both of her sisters had to meet Kami-sama himself. Megumi hadn't been coming by over the past few months, she now busy spending her free time with her new boyfriend. As to Keiichi, Skuld was glad he was nowhere to be found. He's probably working at another job since he can't seem to hold a job for a prolonged period of time, Skuld though bitterly. She couldn't understand what her sister saw in him. There was nothing special with him. He was short, not all that good-looking, and a wimp, so much a wimp that even Skuld could beat him up. She looked at her cupcake. It signified the one year anniversary of her arrival. In a way, today would be her birthday. One year ago was the first day she entered to this world, which was the same way as being born. The only difference was that she didn't have to go through the process of learning the world through the perception of a newborn. "Some lousy day this is truning out to be" she said to herself, wishing there was someone there to keep her company. She almost wouldn't've minded having Keiichi there. Almost. But deep down inside, she preferred to be alone than spend time with him. The sound of a door opening in the front could be heard echoing through the temple. It must be Keiichi, Skuld thought sullenly. "Is anybody home?" she heard Keiichi call out. She didn't bother to get up off her seat to meet him at the door, since he didn't deserve her attention. "Anybody home?" he repeated. "I'm home, you baka" Skuld yelled out "Are you that stupid that you don't remember that Belldandy and Urd had to go up to heaven to meet Kami-sama?" That ought to shut him up. Even the sound of his voice annoyed her. She wondered how she managed to put up with him for a whole year. If it weren't for the fact that her sister was in love with him, Skuld would had left him the following day after she had arrived. Keiichi entered the the room, a backpack slung over his shoulder. He looked at Skuld, whom made the effort to actually ignore him. She continued to look through the window. He walked up to where she was and sat down in the chair near her. He placed his backpack on the floor right next to him as he continued to look at her. "Skuld" he said in a soft voice. Skuld ignored him. She looked up at the sky. "Skuld" he said again patiently. It seemed like he wasn't going to go away. He leaned forward in his chair, resting his elbows on his knees as he intwined his fingers. "What do you want?" she said exasperatedly, turning to face him. Her voice was like ice. She wanted to be left alone, and she wanted to make it clear to Keiichi that she didn't want him near her. When her gaze fell on him, she was momentarily taken aback when she noticed he was smiling warmly at her. It looked like nothing could faze him. She watched as he picked up his backpack and opened it, reaching into it and pulling out a little rectangular box. He then began to speak "Skuld, one year ago, we first met. Although we started off on the wrong foot, I'm glad you came into my life" He handed her the little box, which she took and stared at for a moment. She opened her mouth to say something, but her words died before they could get past her lips. She could feel this warm feeling envelope her, a feeling she had never felt before. Keiichi got up off his seat and walked up to her, bending down and kissing her on her forehead. Skuld hadn't pulled back. She just sat there, now staring up at him. On any other day, she would had whacked him with her mallet, but for some reason, she didn't. She couldn't bring herself to do anything as he kissed her. "I hope you like it" he said, right before leaving the room. Skuld sat there for several moments to absorb what had just transpired. She felt this burning rage building up within her as she realized the audacity Keiichi had to pull something like that on her. She looked down at the box in her hand and opened it. Inside, there was a beautiful necklace. It was the same necklace she had been looking at several months ago when she and Belldandy and Keiichi were out shopping for some clothes. She had seen it through the store window. The necklace was worth over a hundren thousand yen. And here she was, looking at the exact same necklace. That was probably why Keiichi had been coming home later and later. Because he was working another job to afford to buy it for her. She felt tears forming around her eyes. Why did he have to go out and do something as thoughtful as this? How can he do something like this after being treated like nothing but trash, Skuld thought as she wiped the tears away, much to no avail. She hated herself, hated herself for the way she treated him earlier, hate the the way she had always treated him. At that moment, she realized what Belldandy had seen in him. It was right there. He had a generous heart. And Skuld had never seen it. She wanted to kick herself for not realizing it sooner. Skuld started to cry, the tears flowing freely. "Thank you, Keiichi" she said softly "Thank you" I hope you liked it. Please send comments if you have any. I would really appreciate it. First off, I'd like to say that without Fujishima Kosuke, I wouldn't have written this fanfic. I'm sorry for any grammatical or spelling errors. P.S.-If you want any of my other fanfics, just ask.
